Shree Jagannath Expressways Private Limited (SJEPL) is a 67-kilometer, six-lane expressway that connects Bhubaneshwar, Odisha's state capital, with Chandikhole on NH-16. The section is part of the Golden Quadrilateral route, which runs from Chennai to Kolkatta in the Country's southeast.

The route traverses through the urban settlements of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, which are two of Odisha's most important economic centers. This route is preferred by long-distance commercial

vehicles plying between the states of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and others to Odisha, Kolkatta, and the rest of the country's North Eastern regions.

The road also witness steady passenger traffic, as it connects cities and travels to Puri and Konark, which are around 90 kilometres south of the Asset and are two of the most popular tourist destinations in India.
